What's the role?
• Engineering Manager is the primary technical resource for sales force and VE HUB, responsible for actively driving or supporting the different stages of projects and account developments. Working in conjunction with sales, business developers, logistic, BIM CC, HQ, PMOs, GTM, external partners or any other teams.
• Engineering Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, supporting solutions and services in Energy [e.g. Thermal and Nuclear Power, Oil & Gas On-Shore and Off-Shore Plants, Shipbuilding], Industry [e.g. Vehicle, Machinery, Electronics, Data Centers], civil [ e.g. metro, railway, infrastructure, water treatment] and building constructional [ e.g. residential, commercial, education, retail, healthcare] related projects.
• Engineering Manager to develop and manage a team of technical engineers, drafters & software specialist to obtain high competency to be able understand the customer needs, develop solutions, provide reliable and high-quality deliveries to assure complete customer satisfaction.

What does the role involve?
• Manage and develop a highly competent and high performing team of technical engineers, drafters, and software experts.
• Communicate company goals and set individual target and provides help and support, coaching team members to reach their targets and carrier ambitions according company people development standards
• Motivate team members and assess their performances and create an inspiring environment with an open communication culture
• Oversee day to day operations and team members work for quality, efficiency, competency and profitability of value engineering Hub.
• Continuously develop Team`s competence level in various relevant areas such as technical and soft skills in software knowledge and communication, presentation, coordination skills etc.
• Drive key activities to ensure consistent service levels offered by PMO related to Integrated Design [BIM, Plant Design], prefabrication Services and all different level of PMO Services.
• Maintain expert level of drafting and modelling related software such as REVIT, INVENTOR, AUTOCAD and basic understanding of Plant Design Software such as E3D, SP3D etc.
• Maintain advanced level of product and application knowledge for all Hilti and Oglaend engineering relevant solutions such as modular support, firestop and cable tray, ladders systems.
• Develop documentation packages for engineering related application & services such as high-quality 3D models, technical plans, details, shop drawings
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs /RFQs
• Effectively communicates, understand, and convey customer and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company databases
• Manage pipeline and estimate, schedule, coordinate with multiple stakeholders (within & outside Hilti) for all PMO activities and align with global and local colleague, engineering managers & project managers.
• Develop and ensure to follow PMO / BIM / Hilti workflows and guidelines
•Travel to project sites (As per requirement) or customer offices to attend meetings
•Maintain knowledge of energy, industry and building construction related standards / guidelines
KEY TASKS:
Project & Teamwork
- As a Engineering Manager to ensure through understanding of customer/project engineering & construction service needs and effectively collaborate with colleagues on different HILTI & OGLAEND relevant low to high complexity applications, based on modular support systems and related products (e.g. direct fastening, anchors, firestop and cable tray and ladders systems) with using 3rd party software (e.g. Autodesk products such as Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Vault, BIM360,MS Office or Plant Design Software such as E3D, SP3D or any others like Adobe, Float, Open Project, Sales Force, SAP etc. ) are delivered on high quality, accuracy, clash free and issued on a timely basis.
- Support Technical Engineers & draftsmen, project managers and engineering managers with an assessment on the quality and availability of information in the models provided by the customer
- Proactively monitoring and communicate to project teams & other managers about engaged project`s status of manhours, deliverables, and schedule.
- Active communication with Hilti and Oglaend sales force, global local engineering team and customers to understanding technical requirements and discuss through different options and convince about solutions either by telecommunication or personal meetings.
- Proactively collaborating and supporting different local and global stakeholders of Hilti, Oglaend and customer departments such as project management, engineering, sales, business developers etc. with project relevant information.
- Lead CAD designers, BIM Modelers [Internal and External] Software Experts in case of common environment and projects
Development & Working relationship:
- Proactively develop and maintain engineering competence of VE HUB team-members through supporting documents, check-lists, trainings, and daily coaching and development.
- Proactively seek to optimize (Value-Engineering) and automate the process activities as much as possible
- Proactively develop PMO processes, workflow, services, and solutions.
- Establish an excellent working relationship with fellow members of the EPMO, BIMCC, HILTI & OGLAEND regional, global counterparts such as sales force, manufacturing, marketing etc.
- Any other key tasks as assigned by Team Leader
Accountability:
- Develop high performing Engineering Team to ensure high quality, productivity, efficiency, engineering documentation and engineering services.
- Project Pipeline and resource management of engineering and modelling/drafting scopes
- High quality project execution management of engineering, modelling and drafting scope for engaged projects from acquisition phase until closure of the project.

What you need is:
Qualification:
• Degree in engineering, preferably M.Tech Structural / Civil engineering min. 15+ years of experience
• Professional in Revit, Inventor, Vault, BIM360, Navisworks and I-logic is a plus
Experience in plant design softwares such as E3D, S3D is a plus
• Experienced with MDS / MEP modeling and coordination
• Professional in documentation and presentation skills
Languages
• Fluent in English, Hindi and any other languages are a plus
