Win the Future: How Learning at Hilti Fuels Kyunsick’s and Seojin’s Ambition and Growth

Written in collaboration with Kyungsick & Seojin, and the North Asia employer brand team
At Hilti, learning and development (L&D) is more than just training—it's a gateway for personal and professional transformation. We spoke with two team members from different functions in Hilti Korea—Kyungsick, a business developer in the energy & industry division, and Seojin, an inside sales account manager—about how Hilti’s L&D opportunities have shaped their careers and broadened their perspectives.
Kyungsick: From Local Projects to Global Aspirations
Kyungsick is currently responsible for business development in the data center and biopharm sectors within Hilti Korea’s industry team. His role is particularly strategic in the data center market, which continues to thrive despite a general slowdown in the construction industry. He engages with clients from the early design phase, ensuring Hilti solutions are specified through technical documentation and tailored proposals.

“I’m currently focusing on domestic business, but my long-term goal is to challenge myself as an international business developer, contributing to global projects and helping Hilti solutions be implemented worldwide.”
Kyungsick’s journey began with WIN training, Hilti’s structured sales competency development program designed to immerse new employees in the company’s culture, values, and solutions.
“The WIN training was a meaningful beginning for me. It helped me understand Hilti’s customer-centric mindset and gave me clarity on the direction I wanted to pursue. The hands-on experience with our products and the teamwork activities helped me see how we deliver real value to customers.”
Beyond product knowledge, the training emphasized self-reflection and career planning. Through self-assessments and group discussions, Kyungsick was able to identify his strengths and set a clear growth path.
“What stood out the most was that Hilti doesn’t just offer training—it fosters a culture where the entire organization is committed to supporting each team member’s development in a tangible way.”
Even after the initial training, Kyungsick continued to receive guidance through ongoing communication with his WIN coach, helping him navigate real-life sales situations and build the capabilities needed for success.
Seojin: Redefining Career Possibilities Through Learning
Seojin has been part of Hilti Korea’s inside sales team for two years. Her role involves understanding customer needs and identifying new business opportunities through phone consultations and proposing tailored solutions that address customers’ specific requirements.
“Before joining Hilti, I thought most sales roles had limited career paths and would naturally stay within the sales function. But at Hilti, I discovered a culture where people can move across roles if they have the capability—and the company actively supports that.”

Seojin also began her journey with the WIN program, which she describes as a turning point.
“The training wasn’t just about job knowledge. It was about understanding Hilti’s culture, vision, and strategy. That alignment helped me start my role with clear goals and direction.”
A year later, Seojin participated in WIN Phase 2, a follow-up session that brought together employees from different departments to share experiences and insights.
“It broadened my understanding of how other teams work and reminded me of the importance of cross-functional collaboration. It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on how we can create greater value together.”
For Seojin, Hilti’s L&D programs are not just about individual growth—they’re about building a foundation for mutual success.
“I believe this flexible and open career structure is one of Hilti's greatest strengths. Therefore, rather than predetermining one career goal, I want to explore the direction that best suits me through various experiences and seek opportunities to create greater value within the organization.”

A Culture That Champions Growth
Both Kyungsick and Seojin highlight a common theme: Hilti’s commitment to meaningful, structured, and ongoing development. Whether it’s through immersive onboarding, cross-functional exposure, or continuous coaching, Hilti empowers its people to explore, grow, and thrive.
“The most impressive thing,” Kyungsick reflects, “is that from day one, Hilti helps you reflect deeply on your career direction—and supports you every step of the way.”
“It’s not just about training,” Seojin adds. “It’s about discovering your potential and being supported to pursue it.”
At Hilti, career development isn’t a one-time event—it’s a continuous journey, powered by a culture that believes in unlocking the best in every team member.
