What's the role?
The Material & Process Manager is responsible for supporting and optimizing material management and Spare Parts process development within the After-Market Services (AMS) – Business Unit Tool Services. This position executes operational tasks related to material management activities, Tool Service Centers, and the Spare Parts Warehouse concerning spare parts management; the goal to reach the relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and to drive customer satisfaction while upholding Hilti’s culture and values. The position will work with various stake holders in developing and executing product line strategies on supply and order fulfillment.

What does the role involve?
- Perform Material Master maintenance.
- Support the Tool Service Center internal logistic-master data setup.
- Execute the spare part set up in defined spare parts Tool Service Centers and Market Organizations.
- Backorder Handling and stock maintenance of dedicated Distribution Centers and Tool Service Centers.
- Phase in and phase out maintenance based on Innovative New Products, Modifications.
- Develop and maintain reports; summarize and analyze department results.
- Support classification and dispersion of Spare Parts with the collaboration of intercompany departments.
- Support set-up and control vendor relationships in support of the business on designated product lines.
- Collaborate with Materials and Process Managers to develop, test, and implement new supply chain and materials management procedures while working to reduce resources expended to procure and distribute product.
- Problem identification and resolution including, but not limited to:
- Expediting product with Suppliers to meet customer expectations; and
- Manual allocation of product to Tool Service Centers to meet service objectives and minimize Backorders.
- Successfully execute the Purchasing and Distribution plan for approved New Product Introductions (INP’s) and constantly monitor and adjust according to actual consumption rates.
- Develop & run queries as necessary to identify and resolve departmental issues.
- Maintain all items within SAP, enabling and disabling them, as necessary.
- Additional duties, as assigned.

What you need is:
- Bachelor’s degree, or in course, in Logistics, Business, Accounting or Purchasing or equivalent experience, required.
- Minimum zero (0) to two (2) years’ Supply Chain Management experience, required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high performing team environment. Detail oriented, solid follow up, analytical, and organizational skills, required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Strong knowledge of PC and software applications required (MS-Office, SAP-R3, SAP S4/Hana, APO, BI).
- Understanding of Marketing principles to facilitate successful implementation of Hilti’s Product Management and Marketing objectives.
- Proven ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
- Proven ability to problem solve and make decisions.
