What's the role

Are you an experienced lawyer with a wide range of experience? Curious about stepping into a new role in our Swedish organization? We are now looking for a Legal Business Partner to work in a varied role at heart of the business. This is an exciting opportunity to work in close collaboration to our Northern Europe region providing legal advice and support to Sweden on key topics including commercial and corporate legal matters, employment law and GDPR and data compliance.

What does the role involve?

In the role of an In-house lawyer you will provide legal advice and support to support the above mentioned markets, with focus on the Swedish market. This role sits at the heart of the business, working in real partnership with key stakeholders advising on: commercial and corporate legal matters including contracts with direct customers, logistics partners; checking and approving marketing information; product liability topics and people topics such as employment and immigration. The role will also support on business ethics and data compliance matters for the region.

You will:

  • Engage and act as an interface with the North Europe and Corporate Legal Departments within Hilti
  • Select and steer outside counsel as required
  • Supervise court, tribunal and mediation proceedings
  • Offer legal representation of the interest of the corporation in external boards and organisations, as appropriate

What you need is:

  • Fully qualified lawyer with at least 3 years of work experience, preferably in an international law firm or legal department of a multi-national enterprise
  • Swedish Bar Examination for Sweden
  • Entrepreneurial, target-oriented way of thinking with strong communication skills
  • Team player with a self-dependent and solution oriented work-style
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
The above are the essential criteria for the role and we encourage you to apply if you meet them. The nice-to-haves are:
  • Distinct expertise in commercial law, construction law, competition law or product liability law
  • Relevant experience in a related industry sector
