What's the Role?

As a Design Engineer intern in Hilti's Early Talent Program, you will have the opportunity to apply your creativity, problem-solving skills, and engineering knowledge to real-world projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market requirements

What does the role involve?

  • Collaborate on Design Projects: Assist engineers with research, analysis, and problem-solving tasks.
  • Conduct Experiments and Tests: Gather data and validate engineering theories through experiments and testing.
  • Utilize Engineering Software: Use tools such as NX CAD and PDM software to assist in calculations, simulations, and design tasks.
  • Develop Mechanical Product Solutions: Work on developing product solutions from concept to serial production.
  • Coordinate with Suppliers: Develop serial drawings and ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Validate Concepts: Ensure developed solutions meet function, cost, manufacturing technology, and quality standards.
  • Document Development: Create detailed design reports and documentation for developed products.

What you need is:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX CAD) and engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive mindset.
