What's the role?

We are looking forward to providing an opportunity for curious students who are interested in technology and enjoy product and method development. We gladly welcome you in our team, where you have a chance to apply your fresh ideas and knowledge of structural dynamics and experience working independently with state-of-the-art product testing methods on real test benches. You will contribute to improving testing accuracy and efficiency by evaluating these methods and their impact on a product’s lifetime.

What does the role involve?

High quality power tools are complex mechatronic systems that are exposed to high dynamic loads. As a member of an interdisciplinary and international team you will analyze a wide variety of operating conditions, validate and improve testing methods and develop load profiles in order to realistically simulate the operating dynamic loads on shaker test bench.

Your tasks will include:

  • Prepare, perform and analyze operating vibration measurements and experimental modal analysis-
  • Operational deflection shapes analysis
  • Understand the theory behind state-of-the-art lifetime testing methods
  • Verify testing parameters for real product applications with model tests on test benches
  • Develop vibration profiles for various product categories

We have 900 of the world’s best engineers developing and testing tomorrow’s technical solutions in our innovation center in Liechtenstein and Kaufering.

What you need is:

  • Are in Pursuit of a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable field of study with interest in structural dynamics and reliability engineering
  • Strong analytical skills and passion for practical activities
  • Knowledge of Siemens Simcenter Testlab and handling of vibration test systems is a big advantage
  • Results driven and proactive, able to achieve targets
  • Structured and independent way of working as well as good teamwork and communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of English or German
