Intern – Control algorithms development for power tools (m/f/x)

COMPLEX CHALLENGES. SMARTER SYSTEMS

New mechatronic features to drive differentiation and productivity are often enabled by better tool control. You’ll be in the center where new ideas come to life and are tried out for the first time, to test and tune new approaches.

What You'll do

As an intern in our department, you’ll be part of a competent and diverse team in Corporate Research. You’ll work closely with our experts on developing new mechatronic features in our power tools, following the development process from idea to implementation.

Depending on your interests and experience, you will develop and evaluate new model- and data-based algorithms, set up and instrument prototypes, and test and tune your ideas on test rigs or hands-on in our labs.

We are always on the hunt for further ideas of improvement. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to contribute with your innovative ideas to our innovation process and bring our products to the next level.

What You’ll Bring

About you: you are someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies, where a job title is not considered a final destination but the starting point. What you need is:

· Enrollment in a Bachelor’s / Master’s program in control engineering (e.g., cybernetics, mechanical or electrical engineering with focus on control systems or a related discipline)
· Good knowledge and prior experience in programming and/or algorithm development in MATLAB/Simulink or similar
· Hands-on mentality in working with rapid control prototyping systems or embedded systems
· A proactive approach and self-reliant personality
· Fluency in spoken and written English or German

What’s In It for You

We really value our people, and we've worked hard to develop a reward package that reflects this, creating your future to be just how you would want it. Some of our benefits include:
