What's the role?

Experienced in strategic purchasing, strong in negotiation and execution: You will be responsible for the procurement of assembly services for battery packs, ensure availability, optimize costs, and manage suppliers.

What does the role involve?

As Lead Buyer, you will take strategic responsibility for the “Batteries” material group, actively shaping the development of our supplier network and ensuring the security of supply for key components.

  • Conduct price negotiations and actively manage suppliers
  • Analyze supplier performance and implement improvement measures
  • Ensure capacity, quality, and availability of assembly services
  • Support battery projects through to series production readiness
  • Take responsibility for costs in development projects and series production
  • Design and manage the supplier selection process in line with strategy
  • Contribute to the development of material group and segment strategies
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

What you need is:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management within an international industrial company
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation skills and a confident presence; excellent communication and persuasive abilities when engaging with internal stakeholders and supplier-side management
  • Experience in project management with clear goal and role definitions, a focus on on-time and on-budget delivery, and meeting defined success criteria for all stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly
  • Team spirit and a passion for working in an international, interdisciplinary environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%); German language skills are a plus
