Sales Account Manager M&E Waterford Cork

What's the role?

Are you a dynamic and versatile Sales Account Manager with the proven ability to nurture strong relationships and influence positive outcomes?

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be the face of Hilti, the very foundation of our business and direct sales model.

In this role, you will spend most of your time visiting our customers, wherever they’re busy working, to find out how we can help them and demonstrating our Hilti solutions. You will find yourself in different contexts: construction sites, company offices, production plants & much more.

At your customers site, you will not only demonstrate some of the most innovative products in the industry, but also market state-of-the-art software solutions such as ON!Track as well as all our services that are part of the Hilti portfolio. You are responsible for the operational and strategic management of your sales area. You plan and organize your day-to-day work independently; therefore you need to be comfortable with building relationships remotely and motivating yourself.

The role is all about nurturing and fostering relationships, developing contacts on site with customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs. You’ll be part of a supportive, field-based regional team who are only a phone call away.

We don’t expect you to be a construction or account management expert. For us, it’s about the right person; the right person is passionate, curious, dedicated and a team player – our training will cover the rest!

Who is Hilti?

At Hilti, we are a passionate global team committed to making construction better. As a trusted partner for productivity, safety, and sustainability, we provide our customers innovative solutions that impact the buildings, roads, and infrastructure people rely on every day.

Hilti is where individuals grow lasting careers by exploring possibilities, maximizing their potential, owning their development, and making a real difference every day

What does the role involve?

The purpose of the role is to create value in the allocated account's portfolio through effective design and implementation of individual account strategies to build long term, sustainable and profitable relationships with the customer.

The role involves professional field sales and high level customer consultation in the defined territory within the target industry.

The job holder needs to provide efficient solutions and technical support to customers and represent the Hilti brand in the market place.

At Hilti, we work a little differently, this is not a typical account management role. We have a direct sales model which allows us to ensure a high-level customer interaction at every encounter. We love our customers! The Account Management role is strategic account development focused, partnering with existing customers providing solutions to optimise their current product basket.

This is no ordinary sales or business development manager job; we don't believe in a hard sell because our strong core values allow us to focus purely on building long-term sustainable relationships with our customers. We partner with our customers to understand their business needs and how our products can add value.

The Account Management role is very autonomous, your red Hilti vehicle will be your office and you will plan, organise and prioritise your time to ensure effectiveness within your territory. Hilti will put their trust in you, giving you plenty of responsibility, and freedom to grow and develop. What we want in return is someone who will go the extra mile, someone who will embrace change, and someone with the talent to move the business forward in their territory.

93% of our people say they’re proud to work for Hilti, thanks to the quality of our products and the way we look after our people.
