What's the role?
Our team is embedded in the Marketing & Sales Analytics Center of Excellence at Hilti. We are looking for a Dataops/Devops for Hilti Marketing Data Platform. This Platform helps the different business entities of Strategic Marketing to become more data-driven while supporting Global Hubs/ Market in their daily business. This requires having a strong experience of Devops on an AWS data platform outside Hilti or in a different Hilti department like RMT or GIT (not necessarily in Data) and like it. You will work daily with architect, data engineer, data scientist and data analyst to support them while build state of the art marketing data platform.

What does the role involve?
- Data infrastructure Deployment and Operations:
Automate, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based data platform, focusing on availability, performance, and scalability using AWS service like Athena/Glue/S3/Redshift/Redshift Spectrum/Event bridge.
Utilize Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure as code.
-Continuous Integration and Tooling :
Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD , integrating with development workflows for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
Collaborate with data engineer and data scientist to support their daily developer experience.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting :
Implement and maintain monitoring solutions, including Cloudwatch, to track system health, performance, and metrics.
Proactively troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues to ensure reliability and minimal downtime.
- Process Improvement and Documentation :
Recommend and implement improvements to system architecture and operational processes, emphasizing scalability and efficiency.
Maintain up-to-date documentation, including network diagrams, component architecture, and DevOps workflows, and share best practices with the team.
- Collaboration and Security :
Work with the IT Security team to ensure compliance with security standards and successful completion of audits.
Promote and implement best-in-class cloud security practices to safeguard critical systems

What you need is:
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of hands-on DevOps/DataOps experience.
Dataops experience would be a plus.
AWS certification would be a plus.
- Technical Expertise :
Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including S3 , Athena, Redshift, Aurora DB, Lambda , and IAM .
Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
Experience with GitLab CI/CD for building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash , PowerShell ) and containerisation tools (e.g., Docker ).
Expertise in monitoring tools (e.g., Cloudwatch, Datadog or Grafana) for system health and performance tracking.
- Soft Skills :
Fluency in English o Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
