Product Owner

Product Owner- Information Management

The Information Management Product Owner (“IM PO”) in BU Construction Software (“CSW”) enables CSW leadership and the wider Hilti performance management community to make informed decisions about Hilti’s software business by developing, owning, and engaging stakeholders on strategic data products. Drawing on strong technical and business knowledge, the CSW IM PO serves as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring high-quality management of BU CSW’s core steering data products.

What You'll do

  • Own CSW’s strategic data product landscape end-to-end, including roadmap development, intake and prioritization of feature requests and bug fixes, governance of product scope, and alignment with leadership and key stakeholders on the purpose, value, and evolution of CSW’s central data products.
  • Define and structure business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, translating needs into features, epics, user stories, and mock reports that guide technical delivery and align solutions with business objectives.
  • Act as the primary business interface to IT reporting leads and back-end data product developers, ensuring agreed business priorities are translated into technical requirements and ultimately delivered via sprint execution.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain central CSW reporting solutions and data products, including core monthly management reporting outputs, ensuring they provide leadership with reliable, actionable steering visibility across products and business dimensions.
  • Build, modify, and test SAP BW queries and related reporting logic, ensuring data integrity, usability, and alignment with agreed CSW definitions, standards, and documentation.
  • Engage directly with stakeholders to collect feedback, explain SaaS-specific steering concepts, and promote consistent interpretation, adoption, and effective use of CSW data products.
  • Provide targeted CSW data extractions, analyses, and management summaries for in-scope data products, while using recurring demand patterns to identify opportunities for scalable reporting or data product enhancements.
  • Maintain clear documentation for CSW data products, covering business definitions, front-end reporting, back-end logic, and stakeholder education materials to preserve knowledge continuity and provide a consistent reference for stakeholders.
  • Represent CSW in cross-functional reporting, data integration, and transformation initiatives, ensuring CSW requirements, standards, and strategic reporting capabilities are reflected in enterprise solutions.
  • Drive CSW’s readiness for AI-enabled reporting by establishing and maintaining strong data quality, documentation, and governance standards that enable trusted, scalable use of CSW data products.
