What's the role?

The Sales Manager for Mining is a strategic role part of the E&I (Energy and Industry) Brazilian team. You will focus on Mining, Iron & Steel Industries by working on our offers for Large & Complex Projects, covers accounts ecosystem, expand revenue opportunities in the projects and influence customer's buying decisions

What does the role involve?

As a Sales Manager for Mining, you will:



  • Bring your experience on the segments of Mining , Iron & Steel segments to make Hilti in order to deliver sales results
  • Advocate systematic account development through the implementation of initiatives to achieve sales and product goals, the development of customer relationships, and sustainable profitable sales growth. The job holder needs to take an active role in the management of key customers and major projects within the region.
  • Derive appropriate corrective action if achievement of sales targets is under risk. Conduct field coaching and follow up with coaching reports.
  • Take an active role in customer engagement through our products, services and softwares. Develop loyal customers through solution selling by providing a tailored and sustainable value proposition to them.
  • Apply leadership skills to be creative, take calculated risks, bring the best out the team by applying coaching fundamentals and competency on situational leadership. Able to change leadership style according to circumstances.
  • Guide your team of Project Account Managers in customer visits and project action plans. Thoroughly plan day to day and strengthen execution skills. Ensure a complete CRM and effective TTM.
  • Responsible for Value Creation in the region through the influence, motivation, direction, and development of the Sales Team. The purpose of the role is to recruit, train and motivate the sales team to exceed target and maximize profitable growth in the region.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering. Other careers only if they have technical knowledge on the segments 
  • Proven experience (direct/indirect) in the Mining segment with main players in the country. Iron & Steel Experience (siderurgia) is a plus 
  • Previous experience managing projects in the mining segment 
  • Team leadership experience 
  • Portuguese and English Speaker is mandatory
  • Communication, Influence and stakeholder management skills
  • Self driven & Resilient
  • Senior relationship management & Networking
  • Project management capabilities
  • Selling skills
  • Availability to travel at least 50% around Brazil and used to working with customers on the field
