What's the role?

As a European Quality Manager, you ensure quality of products, services and documentation associated with Project Acquisition & Execution in accordance with customer requirements and with internal and external regulations. The position is based at our office in Rotterdam.

What does the role involve?

As a European Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the End-to-End quality of customer projects from acquisition through execution. You play a key role in meeting quality requirements and contribute strategically to large-scale projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will interface with acquisition managers, engineering, project execution teams, hardware and service business units, customer and suppliers. Your responsibilities include:

  • Quality Oversight : Ensuring the quality of acquisition and execution of customer projects while guaranteeing the feasibility of all quality requirements.
  • Strategic Collaboration : Engaging in large project initiatives and leading specific projects from a quality perspective (e.g., specials, product and service qualification programs, approved vendor lists).
  • Internal and External Coordination : Acting as the interface for project quality topics between customers, project teams, suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Management : Leading quality risk management efforts in projects, developing early warning systems, and qualifying new products and changes.
  • Process Improvement : Coordinating quality activities within design, engineering, and manufacturing, and driving improvement through audits and customer data analysis.
  • Knowledge Sharing : Facilitating the sharing of knowledge and lessons learned within the organization to promote continuous improvement.
  • Leadership : Provide guidance to local/regional quality engineers within a Market Organization and ensuring compliance with quality standards and requirements.
  • Prevention and Complaint Reduction : Initiating measures to prevent quality-related risks and reduce complaint costs (CoNQ).

In this role, you will combine strategic vision with operational expertise to directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the organization’s quality standards.

Last year alone, we introduced 60 new products, services and software solutions to the global construction market.

You bring:

  • Engineering degree (e.g. Mechanical/Civil Engineering, or equivalent);
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, product development or related technical field;
  • Working knowledge of #D CAD software and BIM;
  • Understanding customer quality requirements and their impact on business results and the persistency to achieve expected quality objectives on time and on budget;
  • Working knowledge of relevant quality and industry standards and regulations;
  • Working knowledge of quality processes and tools;
  • Internal / process auditor license desirable.
