Area Sales Manager

What's the role?

As Area Sales Manager at Hilti, you will lead a high-performing and highly diverse sales team in Jutland and drive growth in the construction sector. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to work closely with both your team and customers by developing strategies, building relationships, and staying actively engaged in daily sales activities. You will focus on delivering results through insight-driven decisions, ensuring Hilti remains the partner of choice while executing our Lead 2030 growth strategy.

What You'll do

As Area Sales Manager, you will lead both the strategic direction and the day-to-day operations for your team, consisting of seven skilled account managers based in Jutland. You will work closely with customers and support your team in the field. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Team leadership: Coach and support your sales team by setting clear direction, driving performance, and engaging directly with customers and business opportunities.
  • Customer engagement: Join your team on customer visits several days a week, helping to open doors to new opportunities and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
  • Performance analysis: Leverage data and insights to monitor performance, optimize customer coverage, manage the sales pipeline effectively, and identify growth areas.
  • Budget and forecast responsibility: Take ownership of sales budget planning, forecasting, and ensure alignment with commercial targets.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations and business development to deliver an outstanding customer experience and maximize commercial impact.

What You’ll Bring

  • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least three years of leadership experience in sales, with a proven track record of delivering results and driving business growth.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to lead from the field.
  • Expertise in customer relationship management and delivering tailored, customer-centric solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Danish and English.
  • As the team is spread across Jutland, your place of residence is not important.
