Sales Leadership Development Program

What's the role?

Are you an experienced sales professional with experience of leading teams?
Are you highly ambitious and looking for a role that will accelerate your professional development?

On joining Hilti, you will initially integrate in a hands-on Account Manager role to learn our products, customers & business before you develop into a leadership position, as a Regional Manager. After your time as an Account Manager, you will have all the knowledge needed to lead, coach & develop a team of 7-10 Account Managers, as well as taking responsibility for the growth of your own business area.

We’ll provide you with the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s biggest construction projects whilst at the same time offering world-class training. As you perform and develop, we will provide the mentoring & training you need to take that step into a leadership role.

Who is Hilti?

Hilti is where innovation is improving productivity, safety and sustainability in the global construction industry, and beyond. Where strong customer relationships are creating solutions that build a better future. Where there is pride and a sense of belonging across our 120 locations, carrying right into our lives and homes. Where people are exploring possibilities, leveraging their potential, owning their personal development and growing lasting careers. Hilti is very proud to be ranked as the UK's 12th best large organisation to work for in the Great Place to Work survey.

What does the role involve?

To make you the best sales leader you can be at Hilti, you need hands-on experience of how we operate, so you’ll spend the first year learning our business from the ground up.

As an Account Manager, no two days are the same. You’ll spend most of your time in the field visiting our customers, wherever they’re busy working, to find out how we can help them and demonstrating our Hilti solutions. You will find yourself in different contexts: construction sites, company offices, production plants & much more.
At your customer’s site, you will not only demonstrate some of the most innovative products in the industry, but state-of-the-art software solutions also, as well as ON!Track and our Fleet management services that are part of the Hilti portfolio.
This is a highly autonomous role with real responsibility from the start, so you’ll need to be self-motivated and accustomed to working independently. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own diary to ensure you’re visiting your customers when they need you. At the same time, you will benefit from close mentoring from an experienced leader and will have the support of your line manager and team on a daily basis.
You will also undertake training and development courses at our award-winning training centre in Manchester, to ensure we prepare you for the demands of a sales management role.

93% of our people say they’re proud to work for Hilti, thanks to the quality of our products and the way we look after our people.
