What's the role?

The Regional Trade Manager directs, coordinates and drives all regional marketing activities within the assigned trade in terms of understanding marketing landscape, facilitating trade strategy, delivering superior value, developing market reach competence and evaluating and sustaining engagement. The objective is to create enthusiastic customers by continuously developing existing applications and by identifying, developing and translating new opportunities into additional business to achieve sustainable and profitable sales growth for the trade within a specified region.

What does the role involve?

The Regional Trade Manager is responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth by achieving sales and profit targets on all trade through directing, coordinating and driving all regional marketing activities as following:

  • Understand marketing landscape: The trade fact base has to be continuously developed and updated, through sensing activities at three levels: our market, our competitors, and our customers
  • Facilitate trade strategy: Define, implement and keep regular update of the trade strategies for a core Hilti market trade to sustainably achieve excellent sales and profit growth and relative market share growth in a direct sales organization
  • Deliver superior value: Understand and identify the key applications within the trades together with Hilti Sales and Hilti's Regional Product, Services & Software team 
  • Develop market reach competence: Build competence of Sales Managers, Technical Managers, Account Managers  and Engineer team within assigned trades related to segment
  • Evaluate and sustain engagement: Creating and engaging enthusiastic and loyal customers is at the heart of all Trade Marketing activities (e.g. account development, loyalty program, competence development, value for money offering, application leadership)

What you need is:

  • Tertiary Qualification: MBA, Engineering, or similar academic qualification
  • Successful, professional marketing experience in a technical/industrial and B2B environment
  • Track record of successfully leading marketing and sales teams
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholders across multiple countries within a multinational company
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Project management experience desirable with good influencing skill
  • Ability to define, implement and track progress as well as identify and implement corrective actions quickly and effectively
  • Internationally mobile and able to travel within the Hub/Region and work on sites
  • Affinity to technical products, B2B and direct selling environment
