What's the role?

The Business Developer role is a technical sales role where you will be focusing on an Industry portfolio such as Food & Beverage, Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Automotive and Electronics to introduce innovative products, services and software solutions. You will create strategies and lead their execution to increase sales from the accounts based on commercial relationship and technical specifications through the cooperation with global as well as the regional Business Developer community and the support from technical back office.

What does the role involve?

Day to day, you will be responsible for identifying key contacts of targeted projects within our focused accounts as well as develop standards and specifications with Hilti solutions.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Develop local accounts (Owners, Top Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) firms and top local contractors) operating in the Industrial (E&I) sector to achieve long-term relationship
  • Develop specifications for the accounts’ projects and Hilti’s products & solutions placement in standards & best practices documents
  • Accountable for sales development (direct and/or indirect) through specifying Hilti systems and application solutions in all relevant projects of the assigned accounts
  • Ensure sales revenue by coordinating with local Industry Sales team on the projects where Hilti systems have been specified.
  • Support the local Energy & Industry Sales team in driving reverse specification or other technical aspects on site
  • Lead to increase Hilti share of wallet in the accounts’ projects and ultimately integrate Hilti’s technologies /application in the account standards
  • Be as primary Hilti contact and negotiator for the accounts and initiate the relation with the high management level of the accounts
  • Accountable for relationship management to external & internal partners related to the accounts strategy to support the E&I Business

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Proven record of technical project management skills involving different stakeholders (e.g. designers, engineers, managers, sales teams)
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and sales
  • Business sales negotiation skills with a consultative sales mindset
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn and drive to succeed
  • Acts independently and thinks strategically
  • Work experience in multicultural environment
