Who is Hilti?

For the sixth time in the past 11 years, Hilti has been named one of the best employers by Great Place to Work.
What began as a family business in 1941, founded by brothers Eugene and Martin Hilti, has become a leading industry player with over 120 locations worldwide and a workforce of more than 33,000 colleagues. Our incredible journey, from humble beginnings to a global powerhouse, is a shining example of the rewards of a hard-working and dedicated team.
At Hilti, we provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software, and services for the global construction industry and beyond. Our purpose is making construction better based on a passionate and inclusive global team and a caring and performance-oriented culture.
We invest a substantial amount of our annual profit to the Hilti Foundation, which focuses on initiatives that empower people to live independently and autonomously, contribute to building stronger societies, and create networks of competent partners to achieve sustainable and scalable impact.

What does the role involve?

As an intern in our department, you’ll be part of the global corporate communications team. You’ll work closely with our editorial lead to bringing our internal and external communications to the next level.

Your key responsibilities will be to support the editorial lead in the publication process; finding and writing compelling stories for different audiences and channels; further developing our global publications.

Amy, Intern Global Corporate Communications: "At the beginning of my internship, I was warmly welcomed by the diverse corporate communications team. Working with the team provided an insight into all different areas of internal and external communication. In addition, they also offered me the opportunity to choose tasks that I wanted to specialize and expand my skillset on. During my time at Hilti, I gained a deep understanding for communicating with different stakeholders and got the chance to take responsibility for my own tasks and projects."

What do we offer?

Joining more than 2100 colleagues from over 70 nationalities at one of our headquarters locations in Schaan, Nendeln, or Buchs is more than a career move. It’s your opportunity to enjoy the energizing, alpine lifestyle - where Liechtenstein, Austria, and Switzerland seamlessly meet.
Share your interests and become a part of one of our employee groups leading change locally, for example, supporting female empowerment or the LGBTQ+ community or joining a leisure group for a Wednesday mountain bike ride or tennis match. If you are passionate about giving back to the community, we have various opportunities to volunteer through our engaged beyond business program locally and internationally.
Additional benefits of our headquarters location include shared e-bikes for your commute, an on-site gym, three restaurants, language courses, learning and development training opportunities, tax insurance, financial guidance, child care, relocation and spousal support, and more.

What you need is:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in communication or marketing for the entire internship period
  • Good knowledge of storytelling, digital communication and project management
  • Familiar with an independent work style and ready to take responsibility in your own area of competence

Why should you apply?

We have an excellent mix of people, which we believe makes for a more vibrant, more innovative, more productive team. So, if you have no knowledge of construction, that’s fine with us. We’re more interested in your ability, commitment and drive to succeed.
