As an interdisciplinary and international battery development team at Hilti, we offer you a varied working student position in the field of high-power batteries with a special focus on IoT data analytics for data-driven product development. We are looking for a motivated Master´s student with an engineering/science background who wishes to learn more about lithium-ion batteries by joining us analysing product use-case data and identifying advanced insights for the evaluation of high-performance batteries for power tools.
What You'll do
- As part of your job, you will support us in analyzing use case IoT data of batteries, tools and chargers for a variety of projects with the focus on supporting data-driven product development of lithium-ion batteries.
- Your area of responsibility includes understanding available parameters in the data from a use-case perspective as well as querying, pre-processing, analyzing and presenting relevant insights to enhance development processes.
- You actively contribute your own ideas to optimize development workflows and data evaluation processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- You will be involved in day-to-day operations and project-related work.
- The opportunity to actively support in a variety of technical projects (TP) and time-to-market (TTM) teams with respect to battery, tool and charger development.
What You’ll Bring
- You are a team player.
- You are a master student in computer science, data science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or comparable discipline.
- You are proficient in programming with Python/SQL/Pyspark.
- You have experience/solid understanding of PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric.
- You have foundational understanding and strong interest in the field of (lithium-ion) batteries systems and data-driven product development.
- You understand time-series data and related analysis methods.
- You can pay attention to detail, extract insights and communicate analytical results to cross-functional teams.
- You are fluent in English (German is a plus).
- You like working in an international team.
- You like to contribute with your own ideas.
- You are self-going and strive for developing your skills and knowledge.
