As Procurement Manager, you own a product category end-to-end, defining the supply strategy to ensure availability, quality, and cost competitiveness. Working closely with suppliers, plants, and cross-functional teams, you drive supply excellence, enable innovation, and play a key role in delivering Hilti’s reliable solutions to our customers.

What You'll do

You will manage a global product category, ensuring a competitive, resilient, and high-quality supply base while supporting innovation and product success.

Key responsibilities include:

Define and implement the global procurement and supply strategy for your product category, including cartridges and gas cans, ensuring availability, quality, and cost competitiveness.

Develop and manage a global supplier network, strengthening partnerships to drive productivity, innovation, and technological leadership.

Lead cost and productivity initiatives (CoGS) using best-in-class supply and value engineering tools such as Design for X, Value Stream Mapping, Production Simulation, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Negotiate supplier contracts and annual pricing agreements.

Ensure supply resilience through capacity planning, investment planning, and risk management.

Contribute to new product introductions as a core member of cross-functional TTM project teams.

Collaborate closely with quality, development, materials management, and global outposts to continuously improve supply performance.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you combine strong technical understanding with strategic supplier management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, mechatronics, chemical) or business with strong technical exposure.

Professional experience in procurement or supply chain management within a global or manufacturing environment.

Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships or commercial agreements.

Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with cost analysis, system modeling, or value engineering tools (e.g., TCO).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English and German.
