Logistics Care Specialist

What's the role?

The Logistics Care Specialist plays a vital role in Tier 2 logistics support by proactively resolving fulfillment challenges and driving a superior customer experience. This position serves as a key contact for customer-facing teams, offering timely solutions to logistics-related inquiries. Core responsibilities include identifying potential delivery issues, ensuring order and material visibility, and facilitating communication with essential logistics functions such as transportation, materials management, and warehousing.

What does the role involve?

  • Enhance customer delivery satisfaction by providing transparent updates on outbound shipments and order status.
  • Proactively resolve fulfillment challenges by analyzing stock availability, consolidating shipments, and expediting delivery when appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot open orders for holds, material availability, and routing issues, while providing transparency to ensure timely release to distribution centers for shipment.
  • Utilize database tools to document actions taken and identify patterns in potential order failures.
  • Build strong partnerships with core logistics functions, including materials management, transportation, and warehousing.
  • Foster trust with field sales teams to improve productivity and reduce non-value-added inquiries.
  • Process scrap requests for Hilti Stores in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and emails promptly and professionally, providing clear and empathetic communication.
  • Apply LEAN principles to streamline workflows, enhance service quality, and optimize processes that contribute to an improved customer experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline operations and drive operational excellence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

Two percent of Hilti's annual net income is invested in projects of the Hilti Foundation.

What you need is:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Associates Degree, preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience, preferred
  • Solid knowledge of SAP systems – APO & R3
  • Functional knowledge of logistics processes
  • Solid knowledge of related business processes and stakeholder management
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple responsibilities and make decisions
