What's the role?

We are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to become a part of our Sales Management team to drive systematic account development with our sales team in South Australia. As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating your team to foster dedicated professionals, leading to exceptional outcomes on a daily basis.

What does the role involve?

  • Spearhead strategic account development on a daily basis, setting an example for the team
  • Recruit, nurture, and inspire individual and collective growth within the sales team
  • Surpass set targets, ensuring maximal profitable growth in the region while efficiently managing allocated financial resources for the team
  • Actively engage in managing major/key customers and overseeing significant projects within the region
  • Elevate communication across all sales channels to foster area business growth and strengthen customer relationships
  • Maintain close collaboration with local support functions (Marketing, Finance, Credit, Logistics, Repair) to provide insights on competitors, market opportunities, and trends
  • Contribute actively to the Local Management Team, driving positive transformations and cultivating a culture of excellence and care
  • Exemplify Evolution and Model Account Development through impactful field coaching and consistent use of the Sales Management Process (SMP)
  • Advocate for and effectively communicate Company decisions and processes, taking ownership for their implementation within the region.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and MBA
  • Sales and sales leadership experience in the construction industry
  • Domestic and international mobility is essential
  • Leadership skills to be creative, take calculable risks, and bring the best out of your team
  • Ability to create a caring and performance oriented environment which is grounded on trust
  • Relevant business experience in sales or marketing, ideally both, gained in progressive companies, with strong international exposure
  • Track record of delivering consistent sales results
