HR & Payroll Analyst (1- Year Contract)

What's the role?

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Analyst to join our team. The HR & Payroll Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of payroll procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Global IT within Hilti is a truly global team with main hubs in Buchs (Switzerland), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Plano/Tulsa (USA). All locations have highly competent teams who work very closely together. Hilti`s Global IT team is known for their focus on sustainable value creation by translating latest IT innovations into value creating solutions & services.

What does the role involve?

  • Process monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time.
  • Calculate and enter payroll data, including bonuses, allowances, and other payroll-related information.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions.
  • Coordinate with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data in HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Stay up to date on relevant payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and other required reports to government agencies.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including preparation and distribution.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local payroll regulations, laws, and internal control procedures.
  • Audits: Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.
  • Benefit Enrollment and Changes: Process new enrollments, changes, and terminations for employee benefits (e.g., health insurance).
  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with benefits providers to resolve issues or discrepancies in coverage or billing.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., HR2000, Workday).
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
