For our Hilti Joint Venture "Racing Point" in Taiwan, we are offering three exciting and challenging internships in
- Lean Production Management
- Automation and Design for Fastener Manufacturing
- Material Science and Engineering.
Start depending on the student`s availability, duration for at least 6 months
What You'll do
LEAN PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
In this role, you will be responsible for lean manufacturing implementation support in our Hilti’s Joint Venture ‘Racing Point’. As a driving force, you will set up a shopfloor system, implement lean tools such as 5S and work close with global lean, local manufacturing team and engineering.
AUTOMATION AND DESIGN FOR FASTENER MANUFACTURING
In this role, you will be responsible for the buildup of one of our special machines for forming, welding, heat treatment, waxing or quality control, etc. in our Hilti’s Joint Venture ‘Racing Point’. As a driving force, you will set up the project plan, work out concepts, design the machine with CAD, order the parts, assemble the machine, and optimize it.
Being responsible for a machine buildup at Racing Point will let you grow fast expertise in our manufacturing technologies and the handling of screws though each process step. Beside the machine buildup your expertise will be valuable to improve our current machines. A high level of freedom to act to creating impactful changes can make this internship to an experience of a lifetime – it’s up to you!
MATERIAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING
In this role, you will lead the development of heat treatment technologies for our screws produced in Hilti’s Joint Venture ‘Racing Point’. Beside the selection of suitable parameters and their validation also the required test setup needs to be developed. You will be a driving force for the technology development and quality improvements to produce highly differentiated fasteners for the construction business.
Leading a project at Racing Point puts you into a position where you have to interact with our international engineering team, machine operators and system suppliers. Beside the development of a new heat treatment technology, your will support our team for process improvements and other daily tasks. A high level of freedom to act to creating impactful changes can make this internship to an experience of a lifetime – it’s up to you!
What You’ll Bring
<div>For the Automation and Design and Material Science & Engineering position:</div>
- Bachelor or Master student in technical field / production technologies and material science preferred
- High skillset when it comes to material science and experiment design
- CAD can be helpful (not a must) when custom test set-up are required
- Lateral-thinking and creativity
- Interest and passionate involvement
- Proven practical experience in university projects, classes or internships
- Self-dependent work style and down to the earth attitude
- Fluent in English, Chinese is a plus

- Bachelor or Master student in production managent (preferred) or similar
- High interest in applying and learning about lean tools
- Motivation to interact with different functions (production, lean, engineering)
- Technical background
- Interest to learn more about consumables / screw production
- Self-dependent work style and down to the earth attitude
