Development Engineer – Design & Integration of Drive Components into Power Tools (m/f/d)

With your extensive experience in mechanical drive development and your expertise in design for manufacturability, you will support the entire development process – from the initial specification to series production readiness. You will play a key role in the advancement of our technologies and contribute your know-how to challenging projects. This position can be carried out on a full-time or part-time basis (min. 32 hrs./week)

What does the role involve?

  • Mechanical development of new components and modular, complex assemblies with a focus on design for manufacturability, simulation, and documentation
  • Implementation of the drivetrain in power tools across projects from various product areas
  • Development of technical solution concepts in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Supervision of prototype manufacturing to ensure project targets are met
  • Ensuring compliance with standards and regulations for brushless motors
  • Support in technical risk management
  • Participation in interdisciplinary project and specialist teams, contributing your own innovative ideas

What you need is:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in design, simulation, or mechanical development of electric drives or complex systems
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Solid understanding of electric drives and their mechanical and thermal design is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of FEM simulation (mechanical or fluid dynamics) is beneficial
  • Initial experience in project management is an advantage
  • Strong CAD skills required, ideally with Siemens NX
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking, with a high degree of self-motivation and independence
  • Team player with strong communication skills, able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • Very good command of Englisch, German is a plus
