What's the role?
Are you looking for a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise in passive fire protection with strategic business development? For Europe’s most complex and high-impact construction projects we are looking looking for a Fire Protection Consultant to join our Cross-European Large Projects team!
Who are we?
At Hilti, we are a passionate global team committed to making construction better. As a trusted partner for productivity, safety, and sustainability, we provide our customers innovative solutions that impact the buildings, roads, and infrastructure people rely on every day.
Hilti is where individuals grow lasting careers by exploring possibilities, maximizing their potential, owning their development, and making a real difference every day.
What does the role involve?
As a Fire Protection Consultant, you will play a strategic role in driving firestop solutions across some of the most complex, cross-border construction projects in Europe. Your responsibilities will include:
Equal parts technical authority, business developer, and strategic connector — this role is made for those who thrive at the intersection of knowledge and impact.
We invest more than 5% of our turnover every year in exploring new solutions in diamond systems, measuring tools, firestops, anchors and other fastening systems.
What do we offer?
- A rare opportunity to shape fire protection strategy across Europe’s largest and most high-profile construction projects.
- Room for personal growth with future career paths in leadership or deep technical expertise.
- A strong, international team with access to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Competitive compensation aligned with the seniority and complexity of the role.
Additionally, we have a very thorough people review process, unlike any we know of in any other business. We screen everyone in the company in a yearly career performance matching process. It means we can pair talent with opportunities - developing our people in their current roles or challenging them to work in new ways or in new places. It’s how we find the right fit and further our teams personally and professionally.
What you need is:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. civil or mechanical engineering, fire safety engineering).
- At least 3–5 years of experience in fire protection or a closely related technical field.
- Solid understanding of passive fire protection regulations and approval processes across Europe.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and advise at a senior level.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%).
- Location: flexible, preferably Netherlands
Why should you apply?
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical knowledge with commercial acumen and enjoys building something new. You’re confident in your expertise, but also thrive in a matrix environment where influencing and stakeholder management are key. If you’re ready to make a strategic impact on the future of fire safety in Europe, we’d love to hear from you.
