HSE Sustainability Manager(Health, Safety and Environment)

We are looking for a Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Manager.
In the role, your proactive approach with stakeholders at all levels will contribute to making our HSE mindset an integral part of Hilti’s culture.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

As an HSE Sustainability Manager, you act as a main contributor in bringing the HSE mindset to life.
You ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to management systems, risk assessments, audits, accident and incident investigations and compliance with legislation and company policies.
You will collaborate with the Head of Legal & Compliance Manager.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Advising local management and steering committees on HSE issues, all the while ensuring compliance with Hilti Korea regulations
  • Leading the HSE Issues (Meeting, Report)
  • Follow-up on HSE audits, prepare action plans and track progress
  • Further development and support the enforcement of Hilti Korea -wide HSE policy, standards, procedures and guidelines
  • Creating and organizing workshops and training content for relevant stakeholders, including management
  • Supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of various HSE roadmaps for a matrix organization, as well as communication on HSE topics
  • Monitoring HSE performance and reporting to management and stakeholders, including supporting the development and recording of HSE-related targets and key figures.
Corporate Sustainability

  • Define and ensure implementation of regional sustainability targets and roadmap along the three sustainability pillars environment, people and society as part of our Lead 2030 strategy.
  • Support regional executive management team and country level General Managers to define local sustainability setup, targets and implementation.
  • Lead regional sustainability data collection and analysis and provide data to Corporate Sustainability and monitor country level and regional reporting regulations.
  • Ensure effective internal and external sustainability communication, act as sustainability employee engagement manager, and ensure continuous sustainability learning within the region.
Health, Safety and Environment

  • Be the regional lead to coordinate and guide the health and safety practices through collaboration with HQ, Hilti sales organizations and production plants (including, for example, safety practices in tool repair centers and ensure updated training and protective gears for our sales teams).
  • Encourage the regional organizations to maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near-misses through the use of Hilti’s accident reporting tools, and to follow-up with the relevant organizations for the thorough investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the promotion of a culture of safety, accountability, and environmental stewardship across the organization.

WHAT YOU NEED IS

  • University degree or diploma in Engineering or natural sciences, with at least one subsequent HSE-specific training (occupational safety officer, environmental officer, manager for ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in an international HSE environment, including knowledge of applicable HSE legal requirements; experience in implementing / maintaining management systems in accordance with ISO14001:2015 & ISO45001:2018.
  • Strong communication, organization and stakeholder management skills; willingness and demonstrated ability to work in a in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English required
