What's the role?
The CNC Fabrication Machinist supports the day-to-day operations in Hilti’s Engineering Service Center (ESC) with the manufacturing and assembly of standard and custom customer orders. Duties include set up and operating horizontal bandsaw and industrial equipment to cut threaded rod, strut, and other materials to customer and internal quality specifications. The machine operator performs required quality and maintenance checks and minor/routine equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.

What does the role involve?
Independent work including the recording of assignments, operation of machines and equipment, carrying out complex setup tasks, responsibility for quality tests and documenting results, carrying out maintenance and malfunction remedy tasks, instruction of new/training employees, optimizing production processes, cooperation on the introduction of new products and new assembly processes

What you need is:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude- ability to perform basic arithmetic, read and convert between decimals and fractions, use basic calculator.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions and drawings.
- Basic computer skills required.
- SAP experience preferred but not required.
- Forklift certification required (will provide training once hired, if needed).
- 2-3 years CNC experience preferred.
