Business Developer – Data Center & Pharma

What's the role

Do you want to drive the adoption of innovative solutions in some of the most exciting industries in construction? As a Business Developer at Hilti, you will lead the expansion of our business in the data centre and pharmaceutical sectors. Your goal is to build strong, lasting partnerships with key companies and ensure Hilti is the preferred choice for their most important projects. You will define the strategy, put it into action, and work with Danish and international colleagues to deliver results.

What does the role involve?

As Business Developer, you will strengthen Hilti’s position in the data centre and pharmaceutical sectors by building trusted partnerships and winning critical projects.

You will help make Hilti the partner of choice by:

  • Building and managing relationships with owners, engineering firms, contractors, and consultants to understand their needs and challenges so you can offer the best solutions
  • Influencing project specifications early by working with designers and engineers to ensure Hilti’s solutions are chosen before construction starts
  • Developing and executing account strategies, prioritizing high-impact projects and customers
  • Driving sales opportunities through planning, procurement and installation to ensure our solutions are delivered as promised
  • Leading and coordinating pursuit teams across sales, engineering, and marketing to win complex projects
  • Sharing market insights to refine our approach and stay ahead of industry trends

This is a strategic, consultative sales role focused on understanding complex projects, earning trust, and delivering real value to customers. You will work closely with local and international colleagues, with some travel expected.

What you need is:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in commercial, mechanical, or civil engineering
  • At least 3 years’ experience in business development, sales or consulting for technical or engineered products; experience working with data centre or pharmaceutical projects is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to build trust and influence at all levels, including C-suite stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking with a talent for turning long-term goals into clear, actionable plans
  • Strong project management skills to handle complex sales across customers, functions, and countries
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to deliver a clear, compelling value proposition
  • Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a matrix organisation.
