Internal Sales Account Manager

What's the role?

We’re looking for a driven and motivated individual to join us as an Internal Sales Account Manager team, based in our Head Office in Manchester. But this is no ordinary sales job, as ours is a uniquely high-performing and supportive working culture.

What You'll do

As an Internal Sales Account Manager you'll:

  • Use consultative telephone selling techniques to support a range of your construction customers within a defined territory and trade, to find out how we can best meet their business needs.
  • You’ll be managing your own time, so you’ll need drive and motivation to keep striving for your targets.
  • Developing clear strategies to extend your customer-base by building relationships with your most engaged customers.
  • You’ll also need a keen attention to detail to ensure that data quality on the customer platform is of the highest standard.
  • Develop clearly formulated strategies, using your trade knowledge, to achieve sales targets and generate measurable contributions to your customers and our profitability.
  • Establish clear and consistent pricing within your territory and those passed over to other team members to ensure sustainable profitable growth and will follow up on all leads to turn them into business opportunities and generate leads when field or technical input is needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven Sales or Account Management experience
  • Excellent telephone manner and an ability to build rapport quickly over the telephone
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to relay information at all levels within the organisation
  • Self-driven, proactive attitude and highly motivated to achieve results
  • Ability to learn new ideas/products and implement quickly
  • Ability to work with other team members to grow the business
  • Support the increasing competency of our solutions via other sales teams
  • Ability to proactively drive the working relationship with internal and external team members
