What's the role?

In this position, you will drive procurement activities for a specific product line in the Anchors Business Unit. Dealing with a global supply base, you will foster strong supplier relationship, negotiate terms and actively contribute to the long term material group strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for successful fulfillment of customized solutions according to specific customers’ needs, working with cross-functional teams and playing a key role in managing related projects, ensuring a high service level.

What does the role involve?

You will be responsible for: implementation and execution of procurement strategies for a designated product portfolio; establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and reliability of the supply chain; lead negotiations and manage contracts in compliance with our company policy; identify and mitigate procurement-related risks. You will manage projects for customer-based customized solutions, coordinating with suppliers and/or manufacturing sites, as well as cooperating with internal stakeholders to efficiently and timely fulfill the requirements. Cross-functional collaboration with quality, development, production and marketing is key to succeed in this role and contribute to the overall business goals.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Experience in leading cost-optimization and cross-functional projects.
  • Proactive, open-minded thinker with pragmatic and hands-on attitude.
  • Proven capability in executing strategic supply topics.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in SAP and/or other procurement software is a plus
