What's the role?

As Trade Manager for Building Construction, you will develop and execute an engagement-driven trade strategy to drive sustainable growth in sales. A key focus will be to increase the number of engaged customers, as this is a core driver of sales, profitability, and return on investment within your designated trade.

What You'll do

  • Develop and implement an engagement-focused trade strategy for the Swedish market organization, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
  • Lead and influence cross-functional sales teams in a matrix organization, working closely with Area Sales Managers, Sales Directors, and the Marketing Director
  • Facilitate regular collaboration and knowledge sharing between Sales and Marketing teams to review performance, align on strategy, and strengthen the trade community
  • Enable trade teams to manage day-to-day topics independently, while escalating more complex issues when needed
  • Support the development of key customers within the trade by contributing expertise and strategic guidance in selected cases
  • Own and drive trade-specific initiatives, including contributing to marketing plans such as pricing, volume planning, and communication activities
  • Build and maintain strong trade expertise by organizing and delivering training, ensuring sales teams can clearly communicate Hilti’s value proposition
  • Contribute local market insights to product launches and marketing plans, and continuously strengthen the value proposition of existing products
  • Adapt global and regional marketing content to local market needs, ensuring relevance and impact with customers and sales teams
  • Analyze market trends and trade developments, and adjust strategies, accordingly, including input to long-term planning
  • Identify and collaborate with relevant local stakeholders such as industry associations, safety organizations, and key suppliers to strengthen market presence

What You’ll Bring

  • A university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Marketing, Business Administration, or Engineering)
  • At least 5 years of combined experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Strong understanding of the construction trade, including applications, products, services, and software
  • Proven ability to identify business opportunities and translate them into both short- and long-term plans
  • Experience working with and influencing multiple stakeholders across functions and levels
  • Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
