Bid & Proposal Manager

Drive project success by mastering negotiations, mitigating risks, and ensuring every contract delivers sustainable business growth in Latin America!

The role of Bid & Proposal Manager, will be responsible for regionally delivering high quality bids and proposals to meet the customer’s requirements, identifying, analyzing, and mitigating commercial risks and deriving pricing that reflect the full solution value and best positions for Hilti.

Lead overall contract management, starting from contract terms and conditions reviews, to negotiation, contract signing, and handover, as well as commercial issues arising from contract execution phase. As important part of the role, this person will provide commercial support during project acquisition phase regarding commercial topics to help business development team better position Hilti in the large projects with customers.

What You'll do

Your main responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Analyze tender documents, clarify requirements, deconstruct evaluation criteria, and develop aligned commercial and pricing strategies with stakeholders
  • Consolidate bidding documents in line with tender requirements and company strategy, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks; collaborate with legal to review terms, manage deviations, and ensure proper risk contingency is budgeted
  • Work with internal teams and customers to shape negotiation strategies, lead contract negotiations, and resolve commercial and contractual issues
  • Support project teams to ensure revenue, gross margin, and contractual commitments align with company targets during both bid and execution phases
  • Oversee commercial aspects post-award, including claims, change orders, contract close-out, and ensure effective handover to execution teams

What You’ll Bring

  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English languages is required
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Legal, Finance, Business, Engineering or related area from an accredited university or college. Master’s degree is a plus
  • Strong experience in tendering or contract management roles with commercial mindset in companies with relevant similar project management
  • In depth knowledge of contractual terms and conditions; strong customer experience in structuring and negotiating contracts
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen and risk management skills
  • Ability to influence and lead cross functional teams
