The primary purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the Product Leadership Strategy (PLS) Team, ensuring optimal management of the product portfolio and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The role is focused on driving business growth through effective product management, innovative marketing strategies, and cross-functional collaboration while maintaining a strong customer-centric approach. Additionally, this position aims to deliver sustainable competitive advantages by leveraging market insights, optimizing processes, and fostering continuous improvement to meet and exceed customer expectations

  • Developing strategic directions for the assigned product lines through translating global or regional product strategies to fit into local market needs and achieve market leadership position
  • Responsible for all marketing activities relating to the business unit which includes; products life cycle management, new product launch, pricing strategy, market research, competitor sensing, promotion, sales forces training, and sales steering
  • Identifying business potential through understanding product, applications, markets, competition, and customers
  • Responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction (external and internal), as well as with business partners for the product line
  • Working with different stakeholders particularly with Regional Marketing team & local sales team

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

1. Lead Product Marketing Team

  • Oversee and manage a diverse Product Leadership Strategy (PLS) Team responsible for 8 Business Units (BUs) , ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic initiatives.
2. Product Management

  • Product Portfolio Oversight : Optimize product performance by understanding customer applications, maintaining strong product reputation, and communicating clear value propositions.
  • Strategic Product Introductions : Develop and execute strategies for the successful I ntroduction of N ew P roducts (INP) into the market.
  • Sales & Inventory Monitoring : Analyze sales trends of existing products. Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce stock provisions, and minimize obsolescence costs. Efficiently phase out obsolete products in a cost-effective manner.
  • Marketing Plan Development : Define and refine the necessary data and insights to create comprehensive product marketing plans, actionable strategies, and pricing recommendations.
  • Annual & Long-Term Planning : Using construction industry trends, economic forecasts, and market potential analyses, produce:
    • Annual Product Plan : Includes targeted actions and marketing commentary.
    • Three-Year Company Plan : Provide key contributions to align product initiatives with long-term business objectives.
3. Business Management

  • Strategic Planning & Execution : Develop robust business strategies to drive sales, market share, profitability, and inventory management.
  • Sales Trend Optimization : Continuously monitor sales performance to meet planned targets and maximize both short- and long-term market opportunities.
  • Market Testing & Product Launches : Design and implement detailed marketing plans to:
    • Conduct initial market testing.
    • Successfully and profitably introduce new products into the construction industry.
    • Coordinate all actions with relevant departments for seamless execution.
  • Competitive Advantage : Leverage the marketing mix (product, price, promotion, and distribution) to ensure sustained competitive advantages for the product portfolio.
4. Marketing Communication

  • Develop and deliver all necessary communication materials—including translated user manuals, catalogs, price lists, and leaflets—ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
5. Collaboration with Regional and Divisional Teams

  • Work closely with regional and divisional marketing, product
    management teams within Hilti Asia to ensure a two-way flow of guidance, insights, and support.
6. Customer and Salesforce Engagement

  • Maintain regular contact with the salesforce, customers, and internal departments to ensure the product portfolio is managed responsively and aligns with the company’s strategic goals.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

This role requires a candidate who can combine technical expertise, market knowledge, and strategic vision to drive exceptional business outcomes in a competitive B2B environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experiences 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams across multiple business units.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on approach to ensure the seamless execution of plans.
  • Proficiency in English
1. Product Marketing

  • Extensive experience in managing the full product lifecycle, from market analysis and strategy development to product launches and ongoing performance management.
  • Strong ability to craft compelling value propositions, optimize product portfolios, and execute successful marketing campaigns that drive business growth.
2. Business Management

  • Demonstrated skills in business planning, including strategic development, performance monitoring, and proactive problem-solving to achieve sales, profitability, and market share targets.
  • Experience in leveraging market insights and analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimize short- and long-term business opportunities.
3. B2B and Sales Models

  • Hands-on experience in B2B environments, with a deep understanding of:
    • Direct Sales Business Models : Managing direct engagement with customers to build long-term relationships and deliver tailored solutions.
    • Channel Business Models : Developing and managing distributor or partner networks to maximize market reach and ensure value delivery.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex sales structures and adapt strategies to different customer and channel needs.
4. Industry Knowledge

  • Professional background in the construction industry or engineering related industry , with an understanding of market dynamics, customer applications, and industry-specific trends.
  • Familiarity with technical and innovative products, ensuring effective communication of product features and benefits to diverse audiences.
