What does the role involve?
As an intern in our team, you'll join a highly skilled development group. You will collaborate with our specialists in product development and testing to create various solutions to boost efficiency in documentation and decision making.
Your primary duties will involve exploring different use cases, collecting user requirements, developing solutions and implementing these in the R&D community. This will give you the opportunity to gain detailed understanding of product development and testing, deep dive into operational excellence with AI and learn more about user behaviour and resistance to change. With this baseline, you will be able to support us in decision making process for future products.
Zarina, Intern: I got the chance of working in the product lifecycle management team which allowed me to get a broad insight into the versatile work of an engineer, getting a deep understanding as well of the battery- as of the gas-actuated direct fastening tool. I had challenging tasks and was able to shape the direction of my internship myself by focusing on topics which I wanted to learn more about while contributing to the department's success in a meaningful way. I had an amazing time during my internship and gained a lot of important skills, I strongly recommend applying and seizing the invaluable opportunity of gaining hands-on experience and being a part of Hilti.

What you need is:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s / Master’s program in mechanical/electrical/computer engineering for the internship period
- Good knowledge of programming languages like Python, C++ or similar
- Familiar with an independent work style and ready to take responsibility in own area of competence
- Strong interpersonal skills to successfully perform in a global matrix environment and demonstrated ability in stakeholder management
- Fluency in spoken and written English (German is a plus)
