As a Marketplace Operations & Development Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the marketplaces strategy. You will lead initiatives to expand Hilti’s presence on digital marketplaces, ensuring a seamless and high-performing experience for our customers. This role requires strategic vision, operational excellence, and stakeholder management across various regions and functions. You will work closely with local to develop and implement marketplace strategies, optimize operations, and drive business growth.
What You'll do
As a Marketplace Operations & Development Manager, you will support the implementation and execution of marketplace strategies defined by HQ and relevant business leadership teams. You will coordinate marketplace initiatives, contribute to marketplace performance improvement, and support marketplace operations across regions. Working closely with local teams and HQ stakeholders, you will provide analysis, recommendations, and operational support to help deliver a consistent marketplace experience and business growth.
Marketplace Strategy & Development
Under the guidance of HQ leadership, support the implementation of marketplace strategies and operating models. Conduct market research, customer profiling, competitive analysis, and provide recommendations regarding marketplace opportunities. Support reporting and monitoring of marketplace performance metrics, forecasts, and growth indicators.
Marketplace Operations & Optimization
Coordinate marketplace setup activities and support implementation projects across product assortment, fulfilment, invoicing, and order management processes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, marketplace providers, and external service providers to support efficient workflows. Provide recommendations regarding assortment, pricing, content, and marketplace marketing activities. Coordinate with Strategic Marketing and Global IT teams to support integration and automation initiatives.
Performance & Growth Support
Support KPI reporting and marketplace performance analysis, providing recommendations to relevant stakeholders. Conduct marketplace data analysis to identify opportunities for growth and customer engagement. Support approved promotional and advertising activities in collaboration with strategic marketing teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams and support the communication and implementation of agreed marketplace priorities across different geographies. Maintain productive relationships with marketplace providers and support effective collaboration among internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
'- 7+ years of experience in digital commerce, marketplace management, or e-commerce.
- Strong experience in setting up and managing digital marketplaces at a regional or global level.
- Excellent understanding of marketplace dynamics, digital marketing, and customer engagement strategies.
- Proven ability to define and implement business strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across different teams and geographies.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Lean) and digital transformation processes.
- High level of business acumen, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
