Are you ready to turn market insight into commercial growth?

We are looking for a Trade Manager who can turn market insight and strategy into focused commercial execution. You will own the direction for selected trades, translate Hilti’s LEAD 2030 ambition into clear Trade Action Plans and work with Sales, Engineering, Category Management and Solution Selling to deliver sustainable growth. The role combines strategic thinking with a strong field presence. You will set priorities, build competence, steer execution, and help the organization win the right applications and opportunities.

What You'll do

As Trade Manager, you will be accountable for the commercial development of your trades and for connecting strategy, competence and sales execution. The role requires you to make clear choices, create alignment and follow initiatives through to measurable results. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own and execute Trade Action Plans: Build a fact-based commercial plan for your trades, make clear strategic choices and translate them into a focused quarterly execution plan with defined outcomes, ownership and follow-up.

  • Drive growth through applications and solutions: Identify the applications, customer segments and opportunities with the greatest growth potential. Balance initiatives that deliver results today with those that build Hilti’s position for tomorrow, including Tool Park, software and engineered solutions.

  • Strengthen sales and trade competence: Set clear competence standards, develop practical learning journeys and create training that sales leaders can embed through coaching, Trade Days, regional meetings and field execution.

  • Steer execution with Sales leadership: Partner with Sales Directors and Area Sales Managers to review progress, strengthen ownership in the teams, and agree with corrective actions. Your role is to enable and challenge Sales leaders, not to take over their responsibility for execution.

  • Build a healthy opportunity pipeline: Define what a strong trade-specific pipeline looks like, create visibility of priority opportunities and support selected high-value cases together with Account Managers and specialists.

  • Bring the market into Hilti: Spend time with customers and sales teams to understand applications, competitor moves and operational barriers. Turn these insights into concrete recommendations on portfolio, pricing, availability, market reach, and future initiatives.

  • Lead launches and commercial initiatives: Shape the local commercial approach for relevant product and solution launches, including positioning, pricing input, competence building, activation and performance tracking.

  • Connect functions and markets: Build an effective trade community across Sales, Engineering, Category Management, Solution Selling and Marketing. Represent the Danish market in the regional trade community and use the network to influence priorities and share proven practices.

  • Test, learn and scale: Pilot new concepts in real opportunities, identify internal barriers and document what works so successful approaches can be repeated across teams and trades.

  • Use data to improve performance: Track leading indicators, adoption and business results, explain the drivers behind performance, and present clear recommendations to senior stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

  • A relevant master’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Solid experience from B2B sales, marketing, business development or a similar commercial role. Experience from construction, technical products, or solution selling is an advantage.
  • A proven ability to turn analysis and strategy into priorities, actions and measurable business results.
  • Strong commercial judgement and confidence working with sales performance, market data, pipelines, and business cases.
  • The ability to lead through influence and create accountability across functions and management levels without direct authority.
  • A practical approach to competence building, facilitation and coaching, with the credibility to engage both sales teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Curiosity about customers, applications, and competitors, combined with the willingness to spend time in the field.
  • Strong planning and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage several initiatives at the same time.
  • Strong communication skills in English and preferably Danish
