Are you passionate about quality excellence and continuous improvement? In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring outstanding service quality for our Prefabrication Units throughout their entire lifecycle within Hilti's Business Unit Fastening & Protection Solutions. You will drive quality improvements, support proactive risk management, and help implement preventive measures across the value chain. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams across our international organization, you will coordinate supplier quality initiatives, support development plans and audits, and contribute to delivering exceptional solutions that create enthusiastic customers in the construction industry. This position requires on average 50% travel and could go up to 80%.

What You'll do

  • Support Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Release Audits
  • Coordinate Supplier Ramp-up through all quality gates/milestones by using relevant quality tools and methods, in order to qualify the Prefabrication manufacturing process at the supplier
  • Regularly monitor the Prefabrication Units quality via Periodical audits and collaboratively take the necessary actions to improve the performance.
  • Coordinate and deliver according to the Supplier Audit Roadmap
  • Support the Supply Management Team in the (pre-)selection and (pre-)evaluation of potential new suppliers.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance the service quality level by continuously enhancing the Prefabrication Quality Requirements, Methods and Processes
  • Contribute to improvement projects in the Supplier Quality domain
  • Apply risk management methods and coordinate effective risk mitigation actions
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate customer complaints related to suppliers, root cause analysis and sustainably, support containment & preventive actions with suppliers

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration degree with Engineering background
  • 10+ years’ experience mostly in Quality Management
  • Proven track record in Supplier Management, Supplier Development and improvement initiatives.
  • You are experienced in performing new supplier selection audits and process release audits.
  • Knowledge, experience and ideally certification in state-of-the-art methods and tools of quality, process and supplier management (e.g. APQP, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, DFM, MSA etc…)
  • Expertise in applying risk management methods and driving effective risk mitigation actions
  • Basic knowledge of legal and contract aspects of quality, warranty and liability.
  • You demonstrate strong problem-solving capability, proven by solved (operational) issues in complex organizations
  • You are fluent in English – verbal and written. Additional language is an asset.
