Regional Finance Controller

What's the role?

As part of Hilti Regional office team, you will be leading reporting, performance steering and improvement of controlling
processes across the region. Regional Finance controller is part of Regional Controlling team and is the central point of
contact for 9 market organizations and Corporate headquarters in Liechtenstein regarding reporting structures,
restatements, month & year end closing. This role offers an opportunity to lead controlling work streams in the region, take
part in business steering, work close with the management team and create network across the organization while
contributing to corporate and regional projects.

What does the role involve?

  • Being main contact for controlling community within the region for Strategic product costs analysis and operational expenses reporting topics. 
  • Accountable for rolling forecasts of operational expenses and headcount in regional office as well as monthly reporting and streeting with regional management team to achieve the targets. 
  • Work closely with Shared Service Center team on month-end and year-end closing activities, tax computation and filing. 
  • Take active part in corporate and regional projects by providing controlling and finance expertise for decision process and efficient change implementation. 
  • Act as a finance business partner for Partners market organization by creating transparency on business performance and improvement opportunities, challenging status-quo and facilitating value adding investment decisions. 
  • Act as regional expert for internal finance processes and own change management related to structural changes in reporting across the region. 
  • Being main contact person in regional controlling team for internal & external audit. 
  • Support Regional Head of Controlling in add-hoc analysis, projections and reporting for senior management.

What you need is:

  • Global mobility: This role will start in Singapore and in next 2-3 years the person will be moved internationally within any A2 countries (India, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand) as career progression for few years 
  • Degree or above in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. 
  • 7+ years of working experience in controlling. 
  • Strong analytical skills, well-structured and outspoken, experienced with financial planning (forecasting/budgeting).
  • Confident in financial accounting topics including month-end closing, Profit & Loss Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, statutory accounting and audit. 
  • Comfortable in navigating complex data and able to translate it in easily digestible reports. 
  • Possess high learning agility and conceptual thinking, ability to derive from operational & project findings an actionable plan for improvements and impactful investments, drive implementation within organization. 
  • Dynamic personality with strong winning and high performing mindset. 
  • Team player and enjoy collaboration with highly diverse teams. 
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) in English and presentation skills. 
  • Experience in SAP and proficiency in Excel, Power Point and reporting software (e.g. Tagetik, SAP Analytics, Power BI).
  • Interest in future career progression with international mobility to relocate to other countries for next step career advancement.
