We’re looking for a customer-focused Business Developer to develop their careers in a rewarding, high-performing, international company.

The BD (Business Developer) role is a technical and leadership role part of the Hilti BD community. As a BD, you will be focusing on a portfolio of Owners, EPC, consultant/specifiers contacts important for the industry segment in Singapore. You will create strategies and lead its execution to increase sales from the accounts based on commercial relationship and technical specifications.

What You'll do

Day to day you will be responsible to identify the key contact for targeted project of the focus accounts, develop standards and specifications with Hilti solutions, as well as to coordinate with the sales team on current and future industry projects being designed and built in Singapore. The key responsibilities include the following.
• Contributes and accountable for specification and sales development (direct or indirect), long term relationship build-up, and execution of account strategy by working on tailored commercial and technical solutions.
• Contribute towards developing the segment strategy in the region
• In charge of developing senior relationship contacts within the customer’s organization to drive the execution of the account’s strategy. (Department heads, corporate)
• Identifying customer challenges, pain points and providing feedback for new offer/product development to cater to customer needs
• Drives specifications by supporting the HILTI technical teams working with the assigned accounts including designers, engineers, project team members, purchase dep., lead engineers, discipline managers, turnaround teams across multiple disciplines (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping & Procurement).
• Examines economic and market trends and conditions that affect the company and develop strategies to take full advantage of any changing circumstances.
• Maintains effective communication systems throughout the team and company.
• Works with several offices/branches located in multiple regions


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Civil
  • Preferably at least 3 years’ experience in consultancy, business development or sales for specified engineering products or sales of solutions, marketing management experience
  • Experience in Semiconductors, Pharma or Data Center Projects in Singapore is preferred. Existing network with Singapore EPCs and owners is a plus.
  • Business sales negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills, proficiency in English, Mandarin
  • Enthusiasm to learn and drive to succeed
  • Acts independently, Strategic thinking
  • Work experience in multicultural environment
  • Due to the nature of the role, a driving license is essential
