In your role, you will be at the forefront of shaping Hilti’s global image and reputation by turning business priorities into compelling external narratives. In the era of AI, your work will directly influence Hilti’s brand image worldwide. By positioning the company in leading international media with compelling corporate narratives, arranging high-profile media engagements for senior executives, you will play a pivotal role in building trust and credibility. As part of the global Group Corporate Communications team, you report directly to the Head of External Communications.
This full time position is available as soon as possible. Required travel is 5 – 10 % per year.

What You'll do

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop strong corporate stories and pitch them to regional as well as international media
  • Build and foster trusted relationships with journalists and editors and relevant opinion leaders
  • Advise and prepare senior executives for interviews, media briefings and high-profile engagements
  • Monitor media coverage, sentiment and emerging issues
  • Assess reputational risks and opportunities, support issue and crisis communication
  • Prepare press material, reactive statements, briefing documents, Q&As and media events
  • Manage media inquiries and coordinate responses with internal stakeholders
  • Proactively drive opportunities that strengthen the company’s global visibility, credibility and thought leadership

  • University degree and extensive years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or journalism, including executive communications
  • Proven track record in international media relations, reputation management and crisis communications
  • Established network of media contacts, with the ability to build and foster relationships to journalists and editors
  • Excellent writing, messaging, and storytelling skills together with the ability to translate complex topics into clear external narratives
  • Strong judgement in fast-moving situations, including issue assessment, escalation, and crisis communication
  • Creative and strategic mindset combined with a hands-on attitude and a strong focus on teamwork
  • Excellent English and German language skills with at least one at native-speaker level
