What does the role involve?
Your work starts by understanding what to buy. Sometimes the obvious answer is right, other times you will need to challenge the status quo. To convince stakeholders you mix sound logic with appealing storylines. You assess the supplier and market landscape to determine optimal sourcing tactics. Your portfolio will vary – some projects will be in thousands of francs; others in millions. You combine sustainability targets, operational excellence and financial ambitions while of course fulfilling modern functional needs for the business. The next step is turning these into realistic project plans and implementing them. Ongoing relationship management is your way to drive our suppliers to deliver top value for money over the entire contract lifetime. In addition, you will proactively monitor the external environment and translate relevant trends into the roadmap and organization.

What you need is:
• Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s degree in economics, industrial engineering, or business administration • 5+ years professional experience in procurement. • Effective communication skills. • Solid experience in planning and implementing projects. • Proficiency in numerical analysis and spreadsheets. • Proactiveness in identifying trends in sustainability. • Fluent in English
