What's the role

We are looking for a passionate Marketing Director to grow their international career with Hilti. As Marketing Director for Sweden, you be part of our executive management team, reporting to the General Manager, with dotted line to our Northern Europe Marketing Hub.

As the Marketing Director you will provide leadership in the development and implementation of our new corporate strategy, with laser focus on customer data whilst building a strong understanding of our customers in order to develop impactful marketing strategies with clear ROI.

You will coach and develop the marketing leadership team in Sweden, with strong collaboration and partnership with senior stakeholders across but not limited to, sales and engineering.

What does the role involve?

  • Overall responsibility for the marketing department, developing strategies and clear goals for our approach towards the Swedish market 
  • Lead & develop the marketing leadership team across the following functions; Pricing, Innovation, Sustainability, Trade as well as Brand & Communications
  • Ensure global and local initiatives are linked to the goals and requirements of the market
  • Market-monitoring and analysis to follow research, legislation, market development and requirements
  • Work with our Northern Europe and Global teams, to ensure the right pre-requisite for Sweden, to leverage the strength of Hilti group and Northern Europe
  • Launch new products, services and software to ensure penetration and coverage in relevant market segments
  • Responsible for internal and external communication, social media content and platforms
  • Identify the most attractive opportunities for Hilti and develop sound value propositions, through involvement and a clear approach
  • Steer sales team to ensure competence build up, right direction and key deliverables
  • Responsible for ensuring our marketing functions have one voice and set our sales/engineering teams up for success
  • Work creatively within the Hilti business model to search for new opportunities to find new business opportunities and ways to increase our relevance in the Swedish market 
  • Works closely with sales leadership & teams to increase deeper marketing understanding - deeper trade knowledge; market landscape, sub-trades, tool park, applications, key players, competitors, customer needs and pain points to increase our sustainability value proposition

What you need is:

  • You have a university degree - engineering, marketing/business or finance discipline is preferred but not essential 
  • Demonstrable people leadership experience with experience of leading leaders
  • Strong marketing experience covering multiple marketing disciplines, with sales management experience as a preference
  • Strong conceptual and implementation skills with the ability to see the big picture, develop a sound strategy and execute 
  • Ability to be operational and tactical with strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills combined with extensive experience of influencing across all levels and functions
  • Internationally mobile to develop a long term career within the Hilti Group
  • Fluency in Swedish and English is essential 
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office is essential with knowledge of CRM 7/SAP/ERP systems as a clear plus
  • Whilst this role offers hybrid working, we require the successful candidate to live within commuting to our office in Malmö
