What's the role?

To contribute as an entrepreneurial business partner to the development and implementation of global repair standards in the service areas, ensure repair competence and actively manage the repair lifecycle.

What does the role involve?

Repair Standards, Competence & Lifecycle

  • Drive the implementation of repair standards and ensure that targets (e.g. COGS, time, quality) are cascaded in alignment with global targets
  • Monitor the repair standards and define actions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deliver repair trainings for defined product groups and ensure sustainable repair competence management in the service area
  • Prepare for new product launch (e.g. rolling forecast, training, toolings, set-up, spare parts)
  • Coordinate EWS & Q-sensing in the region in collaboration with BU quality and OAE
  • Implement the repair modifications in the service area in coordination with local Tool Service Centre (TSC) team and OAE
  • Coordinate the repair phase-out within the SA and OAS
  • Ensure that maintenance equipment plan for all TSC in SA are according to global standards (e.g. measuring maintenance plan, testing equipment calibration)
Regional Roadmap & Project Management
  • Contribute to the definition and local execution of regional roadmap (which mainly consists of functional global topics) and targets as aligned with SA, TSC & OAE
  • Execute selected projects from the regional roadmaps
  • Qualify and consolidate feedback from TSC’s to OAE on technical repair topics
  • Collect and provide regional input for design to service and throughout the service life cycle
  • Responsible in the region to coordinate and implement the workplace set-up according global standards (e.g. toolings, methods) and LEAN methods
  • Establish strong collaboration within the service area leadership & OAE team to build a community of high performing global team

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or a similar education background
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a technical environment, ideally in an international / multicultural setting
  • Customer-oriented mindset and strong understanding of service operations with proven success record of operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Fluent English required; proficiency in Mandarin / Japanese / Korean / Cantonese will be a plus
  • Power BI experience will be an advantage
  • Candidates based in mainland China and Japan will also be considered
