What does the role involve?

Hilti Outperformer is a two-year graduate program that gives you the opportunity to dive into a variety of international projects and gain exposure to senior management. It's a fast-paced and exciting journey, but don't worry – you will have close coaching and mentoring every step of the way!

Within the program you rotate through various departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business and hone your skills in different areas supporting your personal development.

The program is split into three main stages:

  • First, you'll spend 15-18 months at one of our innovation and development centers in Schaan (Liechtenstein) or Kaufering near Munich (Germany), working on cutting-edge innovations and helping us achieve our goal of carbon-neutral power tools and consumables.
  • Next, you'll take on a 3-6 months strategic project at our head office in Schaan (Liechtenstein), where you can delve into areas such as procurement, HR, finance, marketing, or engineering.
  • Finally, get ready to embark on a 3-6 month international strategic project, where contribute to transformative initiatives on a global scale.

We want your thirst to learn, courage to challenge and desire to improve things, including yourself.

What do we offer?

  • Leadership development program – a comprehensive learning journey with IMD business school in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a qualification from IMD.
  • Business management training – individual training at Hilti. A focus on behavioral profiles, personal strengths, leadership styles and communication skills.
  • Global summit – 4-5 days at our global headquarters in Liechtenstein. A look at the way global business units function, plus the opportunity to further develop soft skills like situational leadership and international teamwork.
  • Social project – 7-8 days ‘building a better future’. A hands-on and hugely impactful community project, such as our most recent: building houses for displaced refugees in Bosnia.

After the program, you are prepared to take immediate responsibility and join one of our development, procurement, or technical project teams.

What you need is:

  • (Soon to be) completed master’s degree in engineering or similar technical university education.
  • You are multilingual – fluent in English plus another language or two – and you’ve gained international experience during your work or studies abroad.
  • You are internationally mobile.
  • You are a flexible team player, curious and dedicated, with good communication skills and the ability to inspire others.
  • A global thinker, eager to learn, who is keen for diverse cultural experiences and the opportunity to work abroad.

The application deadline for the next Assessment Center is  End of May, 2025.
This will take place in Liechtenstein at Hilti Headquarter on  June 25 and 26 2025.
