The role of Security Operations Center Operator is responsible for providing exemplary customer service and support to employees, vendors, and customers while monitoring and responding to all activities that impact the security and welfare of Hilti’s assets, including employees. This position serves as primary contact in crisis situations and the liaison for communications inside and outside of Hilti and provides management with the information and protection required to improve personnel productivity through the knowledge that Hilti is maintaining a safe environment
Please Note: Primary working hours are Friday- Tuesday 12am-8am
24/7 operation with normal office conditions. Must be available to work weekends and Holidays, any shift, and varying days off / schedule.
What You'll do
- Accountable and responsible for the protection of Hilti assets (including building, equipment, inventory and property) and the safety of Hilti employees, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (includes all remote locations).
- Knowledge of video monitoring systems (multiple platforms) for all locations. Ability to monitor multiple video cameras at one time, perform regular testing of video monitoring equipment, review video related to security incidents and provide footage to authorized individual as requested.
- Knowledge of Remote Programming Software (RPS) to make program changes remotely, arm accounts remotely, delete pass codes, and change pass code.
- Contact stores periodically to assist in alarm user and safety education for the safety and security of Hilti personnel and assets
- Provide support to installers and technicians, generate work orders for equipment and track through completion to verify correct operations in all store alarm and video monitoring system installs, and repairs.
- Respond to alarms or call for service in a timely manner, dispatch and coordinate law enforcement response to incidents from initiation of call for service or alarm to resolution
- Monitor Tulsa Operations Center for burglar, fire and severe weather and periodically inspect and test all alarm systems and fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, computer room environment control units and servers
- Assist in personnel issues, handle multiple priorities in emergency/life-threatening situations; direct emergency personnel to location of incident, as needed
- Investigate and report irregular activity
- Accountable for knowing, understanding, and immediately following emergency procedures.
- Perform key access control functions, to include updating employee access levels, configuring access levels, and troubleshooting and resolving access control-related issues
- Maintain and secure perimeter by regulating and screening ingress/egress of personnel; challenges all personnel without proper identification; screen and direct all walk-in traffic

What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED, required
o First Aid/CPR and AED certification, required; to be maintained
o Must pass, or have passed, the National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course or Law Enforcement equivalent
o Minimum two (2) years’ CLEET experience in a related job, preferred
o Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an security operations center operator, emergency dispatcher or alarm monitor technician, preferred
o Prior certified law enforcement or military experience, preferred
o Programming, network, or PC classes at a technical school or college; Call Center or Customer Service training, preferred
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency (Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, DVR, MS Teams, and database management), required
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, required
- Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in an emergency/life-threatening situation while maintaining composure
- Ability to assist with personnel problems in a non-threatening manner
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to formulate clear decision criteria; evaluate options by considering the implications and consequences and choose a safe and effective option
- Ability to maintain positive disposition and maintain constructive interpersonal relationships when under stress and can take immediate action when confronted with a problem or when made aware of a situation
- Must be prepared to know, understand, and immediately follow all emergency procedures
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that effect employee safety
- Must be able to put self in unfamiliar or uncomfortable situation to learn
- Must be service oriented and can work in a team environment
