As Head of Plant Procurement, you lead and develop the procurement teams, in our production plants in Schaan, Liechtenstein and Thüringen, Austria, and own the strategy and execution for indirect material procurement across both plants. You ensure reliable supply and competitive total cost while strategically building strong supplier partnerships and aligning procurement priorities with plant needs. Working closely with internal stakeholders, procurement teams and manufacturing network, you bring together plant, global manufacturing, and business unit perspectives to turn strategic priorities into practical improvements. You drive synergies, standardization, and continuous improvement across both plants, contributing to operational reliability and long-term competitiveness. This role offers the opportunity to grow as a leader in a dynamic manufacturing environment and make a lasting impact on people and plant operations.
This is a full-time, permanent position starting January 2027. No travel is foreseen for this position.
What You'll do
You will lead people and procurement activities, translating plant needs into effective indirect procurement strategies and delivering lasting improvements in supply chain reliability, total cost, and operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop the procurement teams for Hilti plants in Schaan and Thüringen, taking people responsibility for both plants and fostering collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Define and implement the indirect procurement strategy for both plants, aligning priorities with operational needs, plant value creation, and global procurement direction.
- Build and manage strong supplier partnerships and lead sourcing and negotiations, optimizing total cost for indirect materials and services, such as investments in machine and tooling, facilty etc., ensuring quality, and supply reliability while proactively managing supply risks to ensure business continuity working with plant stakeholders.
- Manage the plant’s spare parts and consumables warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and reliable material availability.
- Bring together stakeholders from both Plants, Global Manufacturing, Business Units, and Procurement to align priorities and build support for shared solutions.
- Drive cross-plant synergies, standardization, and total cost improvements, turning concepts into pragmatic actions and following through to deliver sustainable results.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you combine procurement expertise with strong people skills, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach. You enjoy working with people and are motivated to make a lasting impact in a dynamic plant environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Professional experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally including indirect materials or services, with strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Strong people and interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for developing others.
- Strategic, conceptual, and analytical thinking, total cost of ownership awareness, and a pragmatic, ownership-driven approach to delivering sustainable results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English and German.
