Human Resources Business Partner

The purpose of the role is to partner with line management to provide strategic Human Resources (HR) related consultation and guidance to Hilti employees and management groups.

Key areas of responsibility include line management support/coaching, employee development, strategic recruiting, legal compliance, people development/succession planning and organizational development in support of Hilti’s business objectives, strategic initiatives and organizational priorities. The role involves managing and implementing local HR projects as well as assisting in Global HR initiatives.

Report to Head of HR, and partner with key stakeholders including cross Mainland China and Hongkong finance and logistics team, Hongkong local engineering and part of sales team.

What You'll do

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the business, providing guidance and support on people-related matters.
  • Advise and support Team Leaders and Team Members on a broad range of HR topics, policies, and practices.
  • Manage and implement local HR projects while supporting regional and global HR initiatives.
  • Oversee compensation and employment matters, including merit increases, promotions, contract management, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions for new Team Leaders and deliver training on HR policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Coach and develop Team Leaders in people management, employee engagement, performance management, and other HR-related responsibilities.
  • Provide proactive HR guidance to ensure HR policies, processes, and standards are consistently applied across the organization.
  • Serve as a role model and trusted advisor, promoting Hilti's culture, values, and leadership principles.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a multinational organization with exposure to business partnering, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner supporting business leaders and employees across multiple functions.
  • Strong knowledge of core HR processes, including performance management, talent acquisition, succession planning, employee development, compensation reviews, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders, provide coaching, and influence decision-making at different organizational levels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse workforce.
  • Highly resilient, proactive, and solution-oriented with strong attention to detail and execution.
  • Experience working in a matrix and international environment is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) both written and spoken.
