Embedded DevOps Engineer - Full or Part-Time (m/f/d)

What's the role?

We’re looking for a DevOps enthusiast who loves to automate, streamline, and build smart solutions—especially in embedded software. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping and evolving our CI/CD toolchain, focusing on innovation over maintenance, while collaborating with global teams in an agile environment to make a real impact.

This position can be carried out on a full-time or part-time basis (min. 32 hrs./week).

What does the role involve?

As a DevOps Engineer in our embedded software development team for power tools, you will be at the forefront of evolving and enhancing our DevOps environment. Your primary focus will be on developing new functionalities that empower our development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently and reliably. Operational tasks and support activities will play a smaller, secondary role in your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Drive the continuous development of our DevOps infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on innovation and new feature implementation
  • Collaborate closely with global IT and embedded software teams to understand their needs and translate them into scalable CI/CD solutions
  • Design and implement new tools and capabilities, selecting and integrating technologies that enhance our development workflows
  • Develop custom scripts and extensions to automate processes and improve efficiency
  • Take ownership of the entire DevOps toolchain, ensuring it remains robust, modern, and aligned with evolving project requirements

What you need is:

  • 2+ years of DevOps experience, with strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Groovy
  • University degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering field
  • Knowledge of embedded software development and microcontrollers is an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication in English
