What's the role?
Your task is to come up with creative new ideas, investigate new technologies, produce prototypes and challenge the way things are done. This is an interdisciplinary technology task with focus on hands-on mentality and the spirit to think outside the box.

What does the role involve?
In your internship you will work on single work packages contributing to the next generation of fasteners, you will take care of the functional and design perspective of fasteners and define together with a team based on customer needs how the next generation of fasteners is shaped. You will get a chance as well to showcase your abilities being part of the project steering process by representing your own work to the management team. With that you will get exposure to several people within your field of responsibility and a great chance to leave your footprint in the company.
Bernhard, Intern in BU Direct Fastening: In BU Direct Fastening, I was responsible for several R&D projects. These projects allowed me to experience the entire product development cycle from feasibility studies to market launch and taught me project management skills. My day-to-day work was a good mix of concentration, interaction and hands-on work.

What you need is:
- Enrollment in Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics for entire internship period
- CAD-Experience (Siemens NX advantageous)
- Passion for Innovation & Product Development
- Hands-on mentality
- Strong communication skills in English (German skills advantageous)
